Whether you work in a healthcare environment, school, government organisation, charity organisation or in a volunteer capacity, this Level 2 course has been written for those who work with children and their families in different settings and perform various roles, from highly skilled professionals, to the indispensable support workers.
When considering each individual's contribution to the effective delivery of child protection and safeguarding, it is important to understand the policies and procedures that exist "locally" within your organisation, as each work place must ensure that this information is not only accessible to all staff, but that also, adequate training (to a level appropriate to each person's official role, responsibilities and duties) is provided.
This Level 2 course is therefore designed to provide you with sufficient information to help ensure you feel confident in your role and with your responsibilities when considering child protection issues that may involve those children and families who use your particular organisation's services.
The following broad modules therefore cover:
- Essential Knowledge
- Legal Principles and Obligations of Information Sharing
- Recognising Abuse in its different forms
- Parental Mental health
- The Risks of the Internet and Social Media
- Taking Action
- Child Protection Enquiries
