This course offers information about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to those individuals who use and store data in their working roles in Educational settings. Led by those responsible officers, this course will help individuals to understand what they need to do and where appropriate, where this fits in with organisational requirements/expectations under the General Data Protection Regulation.
Whilst Brexit may pose questions, the implementation in 2018 of the GDPR requires organisations to meet ongoing regulation change and whilst some existing UK Data Protection Act guidelines remain, key differences need to be understood and implemented moving forward by practitioners. Any subsequent changes to legislation also need to be considered, such as the Data Protection Act 2018, which should be read alongside GDPR guidelines.
